I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and specialize in individual and couples therapy. I have over fifteen years of experience working with clients who have anxiety disorders, depression and OCD, as well as couples and adolescents. I also have extensive experience in work-related issues and have helped hundreds of people cope with complex work/life issues, as well as those who simply want to improve their lives.
I graduated from New York University's School of Social Work where I specialized in Cognitive Behavioral & Dialectical Behavior Therapy. Because I understand how important a strong, primary intimate relationship is to a happy life, I was the host a radio talk show called Marriage Matters. As an early user of technology, I’m among the pioneers of online counseling with the www.marriagematters.com website and have also been the subject of news stories on CNN and several national publicationss on Internet Counseling. My own articles on family issues and communication have been published in Parent's Guide Magazine and some are available here on my website.
My therapeutic approach is to provide compassionate support and practical feedback to help clients effectively address personal life challenges. I integrate several methodologies and techniques to offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each client. My goal is for each individual to build on their strengths and attain the personal growth they are committed to achieving.
