I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker specializing in individual and couples therapy. I have over twenty years of experience working with adults and adolescents who have anxiety disorders, depression, OCD and marital & relationship problems. I have helped hundreds of people cope with complex work/life issues, as well as people who simply want to improve their lives and achieve more.
I graduated from New York University's School of Social Work where I specialized in Cognitive Behavioral & Dialectical Behavior Therapy. Because I believe that a strong, primary intimate relationship is key to a happy life, I hosted a radio talk show called Marriage Matters. As an early user of technology, I’m among the pioneers of online counseling through the www.marriagematters.com website and I was the subject of news stories on CNN (another CNN article) and other national publications regarding Internet Counseling and family issues. My articles on family issues and communication have been published in Parent's Guide Magazine, numerous websites and blogs. Some are available here on my website.
My therapeutic approach is to provide compassionate support and practical feedback to help clients effectively address personal life challenges. I integrate several therapeutic methodologies and techniques to offer a very personalized approach tailored to each client. The goal is for each individual to build on their strengths, identify areas of potential change and then, through a collaborative effort, help them attain the personal growth they are committed to achieving.
